Experience a Masters Unlike Any Other- 2020 Style
Since 1939, the Masters Golf Tournament has long been a rite of Spring. For the first time in its history, the tournament will be played in November! Although it will be played without patrons, we have some ideas on how you can still enjoy a tradition unlike any other, but this time as a Fall classic.
Azalea Cocktail– The Azalea, named after the beautiful flowers that bloom every April, is the official cocktail of the Masters Tournament. Serve this drink up at your Masters watch party with the following recipe:
2 oz of Gin OR Vodka
1 oz of Pineapple Juice
1 oz Lemon or Lime Juice
Splash of Grenadine
Looking for a non-alcoholic drink, you can’t go wrong with an Arnold Palmer, equal parts Lemonade and Tea, served over ice.
Pimento Cheese– The Pimento Cheese sandwich is one of the most iconic things about the Masters, and good news, you don’t have to go without it this year! Local restaurant, Wifesaver, made the pimento cheese for the Augusta National for nearly 15 years. They sell their famous Pimento Cheese year-round, and it can be purchased in 8oz or 16oz containers. Pair it with white bread and you will be on your way to an authentic Masters experience.
Tee it up– Pretend you’re in Sunday’s final pairing while hitting the links at Bartram Trail Golf Club, which is open to the public. In the past, this course was frequented by PGA tour pros looking for a little extra practice between rounds.
Hear the Roar– While you will not hear the typical roar around the Augusta National, we know a few places where it will be welcomed. Don’t miss a moment of the action while dining on a delicious meal. The following restaurants have plenty of screens to ensure you don’t miss the next hole in one:
