Augusta Hot Air Balloon Festival

September 25 and 26, the Augusta Balloon Festival is coming to Columbia County Fairgrounds! The family will ooh and ahh at the one hour Grand Finale Hot Air Balloon Glow & Laser show which incorporates music and visually stunning coordinated burns by the Hot Air Balloons and Lasers creating a Glow! Social Distancing and sanitation protocols will be in place. Mask will be required while in food vendor lines.

The Maze at Steed’s Dairy

September 26 through November 15, The Maze at Steed’s Dairy in Grovetown offers up outdoor fall fun that includes hayrides, cow milking demos, a pumpkin patch, zip lining for kids, and much more. The main attraction, though, is the twisting, turning 5-acre corn maze. Add this to your list, as this is one of the best corn mazes in Georgia. Facilities have been expanded to allow for social distancing along with more sanitation procedures. Masks are encouraged.

Columbia County Fair

At the top of your list of things to do near Augusta, Georgia, this fall should be the Columbia County Fair in Grovetown. From October 22 -November 1, you can experience local culture, food, entertainment and plenty of wild rides. This year’s fair will be a modified experience and will follow all local and state guidelines regarding Covid-19.

Trick or Treat – KidsFest Drive Thru

Come trick-or-treat at KidsFest at Gateway Park! They will offer a drive-thru display and trick-or-treat event, complete with KidsFest STEAM activities to take home! The first 2,500 kids will receive their very own KidsFest take-home activity bag!

Augusta Canal Bike Path

Fall foliage peaks during October and November in and around Augusta, Georgia, so leaf peepers will love biking along the path by the historic Augusta Canal to take in the gorgeous colors and seasonal sights. You can rent bikes at Savannah Rapids Park and start at the historic headgates for a sensory experience you won’t forget.
