Places to watch this weeks Meteor Shower at Clarks Hill Lake

Get away from the city and catch a few shooting stars this week at Clarks Hill Lake! Did you know the Draconids Meteor Shower peaks October 8-10? There is no better viewing area than the wide-open, dark, country skies of Appling. There are some great spots for stargazing on the J. Strom Thurmond/Clarks Hill Lake, conveniently located near Augusta, Georgia.

Catch the shooting stars at Wildwood Park, Petersburg or Bussey Point Campgrounds, Clarks Hill Park, Lake Springs Recreation Area, Mistletoe State Park or Scotts Ferry Boat Ramp.
