Two sisters with their combined entrepreneurial spirits recently opened their doors to one of Columbia County’s newest stores. Southern Time Clothing is owned by Sophia and Ahnna Parkhurst, and they are excited to have started their first business together. Southern Time Clothing is in the heart of the county at Evans Towne Center, located by Goat Kick Coffee Co and Mirin Fusion Kitchen, and offers both men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. The sisters offer handpicked items ranging from size small to plus size and the shop features brands like Fieldstone (a popular sporting lifestyle brand) and trendy Lamb & Co as well as a popular Instagrammer’s custom hats.
The store’s name finds inspiration in their beloved mother, infusing purpose into the siblings’ shared vision. Sophia and Ahnna’s sweet mother battled cancer extensively during most of their young lives. Laurie, however, never let cancer keep her from the importance of spending quality time with her loved ones. She never missed an opportunity to take her daughters out with friends, volunteer at their schools, or host gatherings for friends and family.
