Visitors Center
Stop in the Columbia County Visitors Center for information on local attractions or sit a spell on the front porch, overlooking the historic Augusta Canal and Savannah River. The building, also known as the Lockkeepers Cottage, was built around 1890. It was once the home of the lockkeeper, who operated the nearby locks.
The Visitors Center is located inside Savannah Rapids Park just down the hill from the event pavilion and steps away from the historic Augusta Canal.
