Other Disc Golf Attractions

Don’t stop with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) headquarters. If you’re already in town, why not explore the other courses in the area? Columbia County is home to several great courses to have fun and stretch your skills:

Patriots Park

This short course in Evans is ideal for families and new players. The 18-hole course is wooded and mostly flat with only a few small changes in elevation. It’s situated within a dog-friendly park with drinking fountains and a restroom, also making it a great spot to set up a picnic or let the kids play.

Five Star Disc Golf

Another excellent course is located in Fort Eisenhower. Designed to introduce new players to the sport, Five Star Disc Golf actually contains two courses: an 18-hole course from the Army and Air Force, and a 20-hole course from the Navy and Marines. The Navy/Marines course is set up with both short and long tees for different levels of challenge.

The Scout

Disc golfers looking for something more technical may prefer The Scout in Evans. This 18-hole course uses 9 primary fairways, 18 tee pads, and 18 baskets, allowing for 36-hole variations. With both wooded and open shots, up and down, straight and curved, there’s something here to challenge everyone.
