Whether you like yours with ketchup and mustard or with a fried egg on top, there is no doubt that America loves hamburgers! We love them so much that citizens across the country celebrate National Hamburger Day every year on May 28. To help you celebrate, we have compiled a list of Columbia County Restaurants serving up some fantastic hamburgers.
The Acorn Restaurant at Red Oak Manor - This Bed and Breakfast in Harlem, Georgia specializes in homemade everything and that includes their burgers. The Acorn offers a variety of burgers to suit every taste, but might we suggest the award-winning Halestorm Burger. Kudos if you can finish this monster.
Cork & Flame- Have you ever had a burger from a fine dining restaurant? If not, you absolutely should try the C&F Burger at Cork & Flame! They start with a house grind and top it with caramelized shallots, lettuce, tomato, C&F pickles, American Cheese and a special C&F sauce. This amazing burger is served between a Brioche bun and comes with truffled house chips and Cabernet ketchup.

Farmhaus- If you are craving a gourmet farm to table burger, then head to Farmhaus in Martinez. Their HAUSmade, dry-aged, double patty beef burgers are made from a custom grind of Chuck, Brisket, and Short Rib sourced from local Southeastern Angus Beef. Try the Chili Cheeseburger with fries. Their HAUSmade Red Bean Chili is Delish! Or, build your own burger from some of the many fresh Farmhaus toppings such as Pimento Cheese. Join them for happy hour from 4-6 PM.

Gary’s Hamburgers- In the mood for a more traditional burger? Head over to one of Gary’s Columbia County locations for a juicy burger that screams America! Gary’s is also a great budget-friendly choice.
Ironwood Tavern- Ironwood Tavern is known for their wood-fired brick oven pizzas. But, locals know this is an excellent choice when a burger craving hits. The burgers on the regular menu all feature unique toppings, but for something truly different, try the weekly special. Yum…we might just see you there!

Suite 10- Suite 10 may be the new kids on the block, but that does not mean you should count them out! The best burger selection is offered at lunch with six different burgers to choose from. If you like it spicy, be sure to try the Ghost Burger with Ghost Pepper Jack Cheese, jalapenos and sriracha mayo!!! Make sure to have plenty of water on hand!
Takosushi- A southwestern sushi restaurant may come as the biggest surprise on the list but trust us on this one. The Tako Burger is a delicious blend of short rib, brisket & chuck made especially for Takosushi. It's then dressed with chipotle lime ketchup, dijon, green chile cilantro mayo, green tomato jalapeño relish, lettuce, tomato and cheese. It comes with crispy fries on the side.
