Looking for a place to bring your little ghosts and goblins this Halloween season? Fangtastic! Columbia County is packed full of spooky activities the whole family will enjoy. Mark your calendar now to get ahead of the carve! Ahem, curve. You won't want to miss any of these family-friendly festivities.

Pumpkins in the Park

Scavenger hunt, anyone? Start your adventure at the Columbia County Visitors Center, where you'll pick up a checklist and map. Get the whole family involved as you search Savannah Rapids Park for fall-themed décor. Once you find all nine decorations, turn in your completed checklist to be entered to win a family four-pack from Steed's Dairy. Kids will also receive a special prize (while supplies last)! The scavenger hunt is open now through October 22. Hours are Monday - Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Steed's Dairy and Corn Maze

For a day full of fun, Steed's Dairy is your one-stop-shop. Kids will love the 5-acre corn maze, shaped like the U.S this year. The activities are endless, from a petting zoo and pumpkin patch to pony cart rides, a kid's zip line and a giant tube slide. Note: concessions are cash-only, so be sure to plan ahead to grab some snacks and fall treats.

Open Saturdays and Sundays from October 2 – November 28. Admission is $11 per person, and kids 2 and under are free. Hours are 10am-9pm Saturday and 1-7pm Sunday.

Heroes for Hope 5k Run/Walk

Was your family bone to be wild? Then, head over to Savannah Rapids Park for the Heroes for Hope 5k Run. This event is put on by Child Enrichment, an organization founded to help abused children overcome their experiences and rebuild their lives.

If you're fully diving into the Halloween spirit, consider dressing up in your favorite superhero costumes. You won't be alone (there's a costume contest)! Make sure to snap a picture of the whole family together #Squadghouls. The run will take place on October 30 from 8am-12pm, and there will also be a fun run for kids 10 and under.

Art & Bowl Day at Gordon Lanes Bowling Center

Trick or treat yo' self to a day of bowling and crafts! Adult(s) can bring up to 2 children per session to bowl one game (shoes included) and decorate their own bowling pin with various provided art materials. Brainstorm decoration ideas with your kids in advance to build anticipation for the event. Check out Pinterest for Halloween design inspiration.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 23, from 1-5pm. The cost is $10.00 per child for children 10 or younger.

Trick Or Treat at Evans Towne Center Park

October wouldn't be complete without every child's favorite thing: trick or treating! Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 28, from 6-9pm. Bring the family to Evans Towne Center Park for a safe night full of costumes, candy and fun.
