Hurricane Helene Resources
On September 27th, Hurricane Helene struck Columbia County and the greater Augusta, GA region, leaving widespread devastation in her path. Tragically, more than twenty lives were lost, and thousands of homes have been destroyed or severely damaged. The storm also left nearly 100% of residents in Columbia and Richmond counties without power, internet, and cell service, with many still facing outages.
The impact on our community is heartbreaking. However, in times of crisis, our community has always shown incredible resilience. We will come together and rebuild, as we have done before. In the meantime, we have compiled a list of resources for those in need of assistance. These organizations are also accepting donations and volunteers for those who wish to support relief efforts.
