Grovetown, GA – The Columbia County Fire and Rescue along with the Georgia State Firefighters Association has been awarded the honor as host of the 2019 National Volunteer Fire Council Fall meeting (NVFC). Please join us in welcoming 130 attendees from over 40 states.
"As President of the Georgia State Firefighters Association I am excited and thrilled at the opportunity to host the NVFC Fall Meeting," said Lt. David Bullard with Columbia County Fire and Rescue and President of the Georgia State Firefighters Association, "this is a great opportunity to showcase Columbia County to the rest of the nation."
The firefighters will meet to discuss firefighter health and safety, leadership, and to conduct annual business of the NVFC. In addition, attendees and area fire departments will attend equipment demonstrations, dinner at the Harlem Fire Department and tour the newly renovated Columbia Theater in downtown Harlem.
The NVFC Meeting will take place October 24 - 25, 2019 at the Belair Conference Center.
