In honor of International Women's Day, we highlight a few Columbia County Boss Babes who are achieving great things in our community. We asked our social media followers about their favorite Women-Owned Businesses in Columbia County. These were the ones shared with us:
Bottom Line Bakery & Cafe: Chef Kelsey Burack's list of accomplishments is truly inspiring. She trained in France, Italy, and Spain. By age 23, she became the Executive Pastry Chef at a prestigious restaurant in Washington DC. In 2020, Kelsey competed on an episode of "Chopped Sweets," where she claimed the top prize! As Covid struck and shut down the in-dining foodservice industry, Kelsey took the opportunity to start a custom bakery – Bottom Line Bakery.
Rooted Coffeehouse- Ali and Heather are the mother-daughter team behind Rooted Coffeehouse. They opened Rooted in 2018 with a dream of creating a space where people feel comfortable and at home while providing a menu of craft espresso drinks and fresh food. This duo's drive, passion, and vision made Rooted Coffeehouse a Columbia County staple and a place where the community can call home. Rooted has been so successful that Ali and Heather will open a second location in Harlem later this year.
Sinless Sweets: As a fitness trainer, Amber Connor loves showing others you can eat a healthy diet and still enjoy foods you love. "I am always looking to make not-so-healthy stuff healthy," said Amber. Sinless Sweets was born when she began sharing her delicious healthy treats with friends, family and clients. Amber's business took off, and she just recently opened a storefront in the heart of Evans, GA! For "treats without the cheats," give Sinless Sweets a try the next time a sweet temptation hits.
Southern Willow: Although more than a decade apart in age, Taylor & Terra have a bond that makes them a dynamic team. Taylor & Terra were both teenage mothers and young wives who faced their future, feeling at times that the odds were stacked against them. They both were determined to rise above the obstacles and prove to others that no matter what challenges you face, nothing is impossible with hard work and perseverance. Many years later, this dynamic duo has opened the CSRA's one-stop-shop for home décor, gifts, fresh floral, and apparel!
